FAR INFRARED SAUNA
What is a Infrared Sauna?
An infrared sauna utilizes 'radiant heating.' This method of heating focuses on warming the sauna user first rather than the cabin air. This is possible due to the nature of infrared waves, which travel through space without transfering much heat to the surrounding air molecules. Instead, infrared saves its therapeutic heat for objects it comes in contact with, such as your body.

It's important to understand that infrared saunas do not function the same as their traditional counterparts. Traditional saunas use convectional heating while infrared saunas use radiant heating.
Why does it matter? Convectional heat can be read with a thermometer because thermometers read the temperature of the air. However, since infrared saunas use radiant heating, which focuses on transferring most of its heat onto users rather than the surrounding air, that same thermometer would not give an accurate reading as to the true heat output of the infrared sauna.
Specifically, when you're sitting inside an infrared sauna, infrared waves come into contact with your body. These infrared waves penetrate your skin, reaching muscle and other soft tissue, where it then vibrates water molecules. This vibration causes friction at a microscopic level, but you experience it as warmth enveloping your entire body.

WHAT TO KNOWÂ FOR
YOUR SESSION
Tips & available upgrades for a great Infrared Sauna experience
Your infrared session will be a duration of 40 mins. You can purchase additional time for a max of up to 60 mins per session. You have the room for 1 hr total for cool down time (more allowed for 60 min sess). You are in a private room with locking door. You may bring a guest with you into your sauna session for $10.

Hydrate well prior to your session, during and after. You will be sweating and need to replenish yourself. Bring a bottle of water with each time. Bottled water can be purchased for $2 & an electrolyte water packet for a $1 to help replenish lost minerals from sweating.

It is advised to remove all make-up & jewelry prior to entering sauna. Make-up remover wipes can be purchased for $2 or bring your own cleanser to wash off in bathroom.

Since this is a private session wear the least amount of clothing your comfortable with. Exposing the most skin as possible, the better the infrared will work. Always having a towel between you and the seat is required and more comfortable. We will position the ergonomic head & backrests to your preferred position. Refer to the guide in sauna to select the perfect Chromolight Therapy setting.

It is completely normal for it take 10-15 mins for your body to start sweating. Once sweating the sauna may start to feel cooler, this is just your bodies natural way of cooling itself.

Do some stretches during your session to get your blood flowing & relax muscles more.

The more you use the sauna the more your body will acclimate to the heat therefore tolerating longer sessions & hot summer outdoor temps will feel cooler. This is why I encourage Infrared use during the sumer months also!

When time is up the sauna will beep singling the end of session. Dry off with a clean towel. Take a few minutes to prop door or vents open to acclimate to the room temp.

Body Cleansing wipes & exfoliating cleansing wipes can be purchased to clean skin post session.

To achieve the most benefits from the Infrared Sauna you should use a minimum of 1 time a week. 3 times a week is great. More is always better so take advantage of the packages & memberships offered!
